About this game

Shoot Challenge is a basketball shooting game where you pull the ball back like a slingshot and let go. The ball flies opposite to your pull and harder the farther you pull, so you get the feel within a few shots.

Real physics make every bounce off the rim and backboard different, and a ball rattling on the rim triggers slow motion with crowd reactions. Keep a streak going to go “on fire” for double points, and hit 10 in a row to shatter the backboard.

How to play

  1. Click / tap or press SPACE or ENTER to start. You have 3 lives (hearts).
  2. Press on the ball and pull back. The aim line turns from yellow to red with power, and dots preview the arc.
  3. Release to shoot in the opposite direction. Pulls shorter than 22 px are cancelled.
  4. Every missed shot costs a life. At 0 lives the game is over.
  5. Every 4 total goals you level up: the ball spawns farther away, and from level 3 the hoop starts moving.

Scoring

  • • Regular basket 2 points; a clean swish touching neither rim nor backboard is 3 points.
  • • Shot labels: SWISH! (clean), BANK! (off the backboard), LUCKY! (2+ rim hits), NICE! (everything else).
  • • Fire mode: 3 straight goals turn on 🔥 ON FIRE!, and from the 4th straight goal points are doubled (4 or 6).
  • • Every 10 straight goals (10, 20, …) the backboard shatters for a +10 bonus (not doubled).
  • • A miss resets the streak. A ball passing up through the rim from below does not count.

Tips & strategy

Learn the feel in levels 1–2

The arc preview shows 16 dots at levels 1–2, 9 at levels 3–4 and only 5 from level 5. Memorize how far a given pull sends the ball early on — it decides your late-game score.

Swish with a high arc

Low, fast shots tend to clip the front of the rim. Pull a bit more upward for a higher arc and swishes (3 points, 6 when on fire) come much more often.

Lead the moving hoop

From level 3 the hoop moves up and down, and from level 6 sideways too. The motion repeats on a fixed cycle (shorter each level, down to 1.6 s) and continues while the ball is in the air, so watch a cycle or two and aim where the hoop will be when the ball arrives.

Protect the streak

Points double from 4 in a row and 10 in a row adds +10. A safe bank shot that keeps the streak alive is usually worth more than a risky swish attempt.

FAQ

I can’t grab the ball. ▾

Press on or near the ball. Touch devices get a generous grab area (about 45 px around the ball); tapping far away makes the ball bounce to show you where to grab.

Can I shoot with the keyboard? ▾

No. Shooting is mouse or touch only. The keyboard supports SPACE (restart), ESC (title) and M (sound). The in-game text is in Korean.

What if the ball gets stuck? ▾

If it is wedged between rim and backboard for more than 0.35 s it is knocked loose and may still go in. A shot with no result after 4.5 s counts as a miss.

The game stutters. ▾

If the frame rate stays low, the game automatically turns off glow and vignette effects. Closing other tabs also helps.
